    Revamping the EQ section

I currently use parametric EQ's to tweak my mains. They are used to give a better slope to the 100hz XO point and a bit of a curve to the midrange to create a "BBC" type curve. The curve for the mid is around -3db.

Do you think a 1/3 per oct EQ would be better suited ? My PEQ's are quite old. Just wondering.
Here is my LCR "Trio". Way to go guys !

Well, parametric EQs offer much more precise control than graphics. As long as the ones you’re using aren’t adding any appreciable noise, I see no reason to change.

Sub Crossover with Parametric EQ (build)
      by Johnloudb
Well, I've been working (i.e. not working) on this crossover for ummm .... 6 months? Been wiring it up for the last 2. ops: I seem to get easily distracted.

So, I've decided to start a build thread on it and maybe that will give me the proper motivation to get this done.

adding Parametric EQ to AV amp
      by bsacco
I'm considering buying a Yamaha RX-Z1 or RX-V1. If I do, I'd like to add a parametric EQ for more control over the sound in my room as well as my subwoofer's response curve.

THe problem is that the EQ will add distortion to the signal. I've heard of folks using the Behringer Feedback...

      by intelonetwo
      Hello All,
Now that I have completed my diy 3-way speakers, I can now begin wit the equalization process using the Behringer UltraCurve Pro DEQ 24/96.

Among the many features on the UltraCurve (UC) are auto room eq, and correction. However, it best used with a target curve. I...

      Curve fitting?
      by EMT
I have read that one can make a vented loudspeaker sound the same as a closed box one by making the lower end response curve of the vented box match that of the closed box. Let's not argue at the moment about whether or not this is true. What I am curious about is how one would go about it. I imagine...

Trouble with the Curve--Classic low key Clint
      by Ovation
Just like watching a Cary Grant or John Wayne movie, watching a movie with Clint Eastwood in it rarely gives us a surprise. It does, however, rarely disappoint. Nothing fancy or revolutionary about Trouble with the Curve. Just a couple of hours in the company of a old favourite (and a fine Amy Adams...
