selection of a DVD VCR combo unit

I want to get TVonto my InFocus 4805 and the only way that I can find to do this is by using a VCR to convert the RF signal to Composit video. So I'm looking for a combo unit to reduce the cluter of excess components.

Can anyone recommend a unit that has a good DVD output?

I'm trying to keep the cost under say $250 if at all possible.

If anyone can recomend anoter way to get the RF signal into the projector I would love to hear about that as well.
