    I'm wondering

I wonder how good dolby digital plus will sound? Dolby digital to me is awesome, yeah it uses lossy compression technology but it still sounds so good. If anyone owns Vegas + dvd like I do knows what i'm taliking about when they mix their productions in dd 5.1. I'm wondering when dd plus will be released to the public? I actually had an idea about 10 channel surround sound. (lol) also I wonder how many channels dd plus will use? (I read it can go beyond 7.1) Well until it comes out I guess we'll have to do with DPLIIx.

It's the new HD-DVD standard so I guess many of us will hear it in the next 2 years.

Looking in one of my HD-DVD's the case says it has Dolby Plus? (Can't remember the exact wording) anyhow it said that max bit rate for plus was 1.5 mbits/sec vs what I think is a 480 or 640k cap right now.

Does any one know the max bit rate a rotel will take? Any possibility of...

      Hi,

      Imagine uncompressed surround sound……

For those that haven't seen it, my friend and HTgude member Matt Stacey pointed out the information in this LINK FROM DOLBY to me.

If you ignore the continuing HD-DVD / Bu-Ray madness, it is a win on several fronts.

      DTS-HD & Dolby Digital Plus

I just wanted to throw this question out there:

What is the likelyhood that the C1 or C2 will be upgraded to support DTS-HD and Dolby Digital Plus? Blu-Ray & HD-DVD have announced (months ago) that these format will be supported.

      Here's information on DTS-HD with a...
