You may have heard "of" her, but not heard her.
Her album, "Forget About It", released on CD in 1999, has been re-released as a hybrid SACD/CD disk. The sonics are excellent, as is the material, which might be described as bluegrass/country influenced pop.
There's a newer album recorded with her long time partners Union Station, "New Favorite". This is less of a crossover album, and more faithful to her roots, though it was released in 2001. It's now available on an SACD/CD hybrid from Rounder records.
Even if you think you don't have any affinity for bluegrass, listen to this. You may find yourself changing your mind. You can sample these from the Rounder site.
Highly recommended. Be there, or be square.
Regards,
Jon
