    Summer Songs...Need Suggestions

I'm making a mix CD of songs with a Summer theme. I was hoping you guys might be able to think of songs I haven't yet considered. The songs don't need to mention the word "summer", rather, I just want songs that make you think of things pertaining to summer (beach, ocean, bikinis, vacations, whatever).

    Thanks in advance,

Well, you need a little Jimmy Buffet, that's for sure.

How about "School's out for Summer"! Alice Cooper.

    Beachboys, Surfer songs.

Strawberry Fields, Beatles? In TN, the Strawberries are ripe in May.

Sorry Sili, I'm from the "Inner City" those are not my visions of summer:B

BTW, I really don't get any visions of seasons when I listen to music. I tend to feel like the artist is in the room but, no seasons.

"I came here, to chew bubble gum and kickass. And I'm all out of bubble gum!!!" My DVD's

I guess I should mention this CD is not for me. It's for a sales display in a store. It'll be playing near their summer products. The music is meant to set the mood.

How about just an ocean waves soundtrack? Might work and please don't play it tooo loud.

This week, I complained to Walmart about "$3.00 speakers" blaring in my ears when I look at ANY product in their electronics section! I was wound up tighter than a 2.00 watch, and snapped. I said geesh, I know good sound and that's NOT good sound! I almost said, you think people really want this shit pumped in their ears while trying to concentrate on making purchase decisions? lol.
First I commented to the clerk, then on my way out voiced my opinion to a Manager.

              Lex,

What were you doing in the Walmart electronics section?? We caught you! You don't really own the HT you say you do! You own GPX equipment! That website of yours is just a sham, isn't it?

Oh, and the ocean sounds is a good idea -I just wonder if it would make people have to pee?

Hot fun in the Summer time - Sly and the Family

IMO the ultimate summer feel good song.

                  "Afternoon Delight" :B

Ok, these may be dating me but these always remind me of summer...

                  Boston -Hitch a Ride
                  Beach Boys- Any
Pablo Cruise - Place in the Sun, I Go To Rio
                  War - All day Music
                  America - Ventura Highway
Doobie Brothers - Taking it to the Streets
Neil Diamond - Hot August Nights
                  Scot Mackenzie - San Fransisco
Steve Winwood - Back in the High Life Again
StarShip - We Built this City
38 Special - And We Danced
Bruce Hornsby & The Range - That's Just The Way it Is
Eddie Money - Two Tickets To Paradise
                  Billy Ocean - Carribean Queen
U2 - Were the Streets Have no Name

Come to think of it, if it's a display, this music may not do, you might do well with a smooth jazz like Peter White "Venice Beach" and that type..
