That's just his summer system I hear. hahaha.
Can you imagine speakers that weigh close to 600 pounds each!?! From what I hear, the stands cost like 5K. But how do you get them on the stands and get the speakers back upright? I can't imagine handling anything that heavy that I didn't want to beat and bang around.

Several REALLY strong guys wearing velvet gloves. That's how. And you keep 'em around for a couple of days to help you position the speakers correctly, too! I didn't add it up officially, but this guy's got what? $200,000 US sitting there?how do you get them on the stands and get the speakers back upright?

Oh, I think it's pretty evident this person can afford whatever he wants, so the use of the Emmlabs modified Phillips SACD unit is very likely due to preference.

The EMM Labs-modified Philips SACD 1000, in conjunction with the EMM Labs DAC6, is currently considered by many to be the best SACD available, period. This may change in a few months when EMM Labs releases its own transport.Oh, I think it's pretty evident this person can afford whatever he wants, so the use of the Emmlabs modified Phillips SACD unit is very likely due to preference.
I hope to demo the EMM Labs SACD system in the next week or so, at GTT Audio in NJ.

Larry
P.S. IMO, the top-of-the-line dCS SACD gear is mechanical sounding. For what it's worth, quite a few people share this feeling.- Bottom

Another shot of his speakers. Evidentally Kharma offers a "DIAMOND" tweeter upgrade. I can't tell from this shot if he spent the extra cash or not.
Ooops, I just found this quote from this (his) website.
There are 2 areas with potential for improvement: First, the metal tweeter sounds great in the Exquisites but would be better with the new Diamond tweeter upgrade (which is on order), second, if the room was 2 feet wider (not likely to change).

by CliveI have a leather love seat and a few mixed matched chairs in our HT area. I am using a small round conference table in the back corner of the room this is where we'd play games or do some reading. Around the table at the moment I am using folding padded chairs. All these chairs IMO gets uncomfortable...-

I was hoping to start some discussion about green glue as a constrained layer damping (CLD) medium.
From my understanding it is not exactly suited for this.
I have searched this site but still have found some ambiguities.

by RedhawkCame home, turned everything on, and the image had a green tint. Everything else was normal. Didn't go away until the 8300 was reset. Everything is in a cabinet, and the PS3 was left on so everything was very hot. Has happened before when I'd be playing xbox or PS3 and then turn them off and the 8300...-

by Kevin PI'm tossing around some ideas for building a file server/development/VM (virtualbox) system. The criteria I'm using for now is:
1. As green as possible, since it'll be running 24/7
2. Enough performance for running OSes under Virtualbox, so that this system can eventually replace... -
I loved the teaming of Director Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon in the Bourne Ultimatum and Bourne Supremacy, so I really hoped for something as good with their teaming for Green Zone, but alas, there is a bit of a letdown.
