    A Horizon At Home

Finally, all the other pieces of my "analog" spending spree have made it home. The Nottingham Audio Horizon turntable and Grado Sonata (normal output) cartridge were set up and adjusted by my dealer, so all I had to do was hook it up and plug it in. Here's some images of my new baby (no, not that kind of baby - those are Andrew's posts). It doesn't look like the average turntable, does it? The second image is of the Rega RB250 arm. I hadn't removed the stylus cover yet.

Oh, I did order a Musical Fidelity X-LPS phono stage to run the TT through.

I'll replace these images with some better ones. I had to reduce the size of these in MS Photo Editor and they aren't looking too impressive. IMAGES REPLACED.

Dude :-y Very nice. Well, I can see it's a very solid base, belt driven, nice tone arm. Looks like all the right stuff for great analog!

Congrats David, you have been on a roll!

        Nice looking table, David!

Glad to hear you've got a great MF phono stage on order to use with it- anticipation is a bear, though, isn't it? How long till it comes in? Are you counting the days and hours? :W

        Best regards,

        Jon

Okay, there are better images of the Horizon now.

Everything I'm reading about the Sonata shows anywhere from 30-50 album's worth of break-in to hear what it can really do. I've put that on hold while I'm trying to finish the room, so a review of the TT/cartridge won't be forthcoming for a few weeks.

            Boo.

Thumbs up on the new pics!

Thumbs down on the extra wait! :W

OTOH, unexpected and undesired delays seems to be my standard SOP lately, too. Falling behind on a couple of projects, and work is going to be a real grind between now and July, especially since my part time tech shattered his knee cap in a water skiing accident a week ago!

Well, you've certainly got something to look forward to!

              ~Jon
