    I was wondering...

If I remove the inductive passive capacitance tubes from my amp, if the reverbal release mechanism would polute the particulate matter buster, and result in a omni-cross-directional-bi-polar passive resistance to the thermal inductive sound waves generator? In other words, trash my tunes? Anybody?

In other words, there's no topics here, get your a$$es busy and talk 2 channel, or else! To strong you say? Oops, sorry.

Well, ya know, the problem is, so much of what I do is DIY it all winds up over in that other forum section! :B

      Speakers? DIY!

New speaker cables (soon to be posted; measurements not complete) DIY!

24 bit 96 kHz DAC with zero feedback signal path and passive filters? :E In construction...

      Power amplifier developments? Stay tuned....

      DIY Rulz!!

      Best regards,

How to Learn Passive Crossover Design?
        by TheWaveCarver
What are some good sources online to learn about passive crossover design? Right when I think I'm beginning to figure it all out, I learn something new (Baffle step diffraction, driver impedance matching). I'm just beginning to understand the purpose of L-Pads and Zobels but have no idea how to calculate...

Exploring Common DIY Terminology - Inductance
        by technodanvan
        Inductance

Inductance is an essential electrical property that arises in conductors and coils due to the presence of magnetic fields. It is one of the key elements in electrical circuits, along with resistance and capacitance, and plays a significant role in various electronic and electromechanical systems, including loudspeakers.

Definition and Symbol: Inductance, denoted by the symbol "L," is a measure of an electrical component's ability to store energy in

Exploring Common DIY Terminology - Reactance
        by technodanvan
        Reactance

Reactance refers to the component of impedance that arises due to the reactive elements in the driver's electrical circuit. Reactance is a complex impedance that includes both resistance and reactance, with reactance having both inductive and capacitive components. Understanding reactance is essential in loudspeaker design and analysis, as it affects the electrical and acoustic behavior of the driver.

There are two types of reactance commonly encountered in loudspeaker

Noob here starting a DIY project with a ?
        by jebcamaro
I am new here and new to home theater all together or for that matter DIY speakers. I have built several car audio systems in my day, but never crossed over to the HT realm. I currently have been using an ancient Onkyo Dolby Prologic 1st Gen surround sound amp with some Cerwin Vega 12`s and Infinity...

Exploring Common DIY Terminology (work in progress)
        by technodanvan
        Preface

I started this article with the intention of offering a guide to DIYers, mostly those new to the field, that defines and explains the terminology you often see in discussions on the topic of DIY loudspeakers. Now, I have plenty of learning to do myself, and am under no illusion that what I do know is complete and correct. Because of this, I want these articles to be living documents. By that I mean, I'd like the DIY community to offer input on each definition to expand and clarify...
