Been going through a bunch of Bowie since yesterday. Hard to pick a favourite (testament to his ability to successfully reinvent himself), but Space Oddity is one I've returned to more regularly than the rest. Most of the 70s stuff represents my favourite era of Bowie, really. Anyone else been looking back on his catalogue?
RIP David Bowie

Honestly , I'm starting to get a little depressed lately watching my youth die off. I have a hard time listening to some artists right after they pass away. I'll definitely get to Ziggy , but not right away. I listened to some of his last album and it was a bit much for me. It seems he still had so much to say , and that made it difficult to appreciate the music.Lee

What a sad start to the new year.....
first Natalie Cole & then db.
I even got to hear some of his new album that released on Friday.
half of Bowie's band on his newest album is also in Maria Schneider's Big Band.
I have been huge fan of Maria & found out just Sunday afternoon one our local audio group actually knows her.

db will be prominent on this year's infamous Casa Hanna 4th of July party playlist.- Bottom

Yup. Queen , David Bowie , and Billy Joel all did well with that song. Listening to the lyrics to Space Oddity right after he died was eerie. His first big splash in the music world sounded very much like goodbye.Lee
