How sad that today, so few engineers and labels put any care or pride in the sound quality of their produdct.

I beg to differ with you on this one. 99% of music I purchase today sounds impeccable as opposed to a lot of the stuff that came out of the 80's and early 90's. The vinyl out of the 70's was good though.....probably because that process had been perfected by then. It appears that engineers have finally figured out how to record and master digital music now!!. No complaints coming from me now in general. :T

So you like all the brickwalled music that's out there now??? It's over processe to sound perfect when live performances are NOT by any stretch of the imagination.

I have a bunch of CDs that were produced in the 80s and 90s that may not sound as perfectly "clear" as the reproductions (aka remasters) but when you sit down and listen to to both the newly produced disc has detail missing, lacking life, and it's all loud... there's no quiet to create the punch, brickwalled to no end!

This is for about 98% of all the CDs I've come across. Even some of the stuff on HDtracks is exactly the same way. It's really a sad state of a fair.

It's almost tough to listen to new music these days....

Even my last bestion of hope Dave Matthews Band in the last couple albums has fallen to this terrible Mastering of the Record Companies.
      Digital Audio makes me Happy.
