Given you're post yeaterday odds are cleaning the pots will do nothing.
Odds are they are wire wound versus carbon so cleanliness won't be an issue.

If you can pull 1 driver (unscrew screws, remove fastons, pull from cabinet) and check it with a 1 1/2 volt battery (AA), you may find it to be open. If thats the case I would bet all 4 are open (2 tweets-2 mids) and I would get ahold of whoemever you just bought them from and try to work something out.

I had a set of RS 2.5's years ago, and allthough they were power hogs (driven with a Haffler DH-500) they were sweet speaks.

If you do want to clean the pots you should be able to pull the crossover chasis screws, lift the crossovers out, and the pots will be exposed (judging from yesterdays photos).

Dave's testing for 1980's looking Infinity speaker <$300 USD
      by DaveFred
Ever since I first saw them in the 1980's I loved how Infinity speakers looked, the red oak vertical slats making a half round on the sides, the black felt baffle face, dome mids and ribbon tweeters.

For Midwest Audio Fest 2024, I have decided to try and make an Infinity look alike speaker

      single cabinet...dual rlp-15 push pull?
      by kramskoi
since my new Tumult 15d2 is belly up defective after 3 days, i need to find a use for a 3.5 cu.ft. box.

I'm thinking of adding another 1.5-2.5 cu.ft. to the cabinet and mounting a rl-p 15 at each end...opposite one another.

I would welcome all input and anyone with experience

Nautilus 802 vs. Infinity Prelude MTS
      by krassyg
I just picked up an Infinity Prelude MTS system, but I also have a good offer for a Nautilus 802 system as well. Both systems are used. I have read all of the reviews about both speakers and they are both highly recommended. Which one would you keep? Room size is not an issue, amps are Classe CAM-250...
