I love John Williams stuff from movies stuff to the olympic's .I love this format (hybrid/sacd) but I can't find any of his stuff ,please does anyone out there know of any John Williams recording on that hybris sacd format ? thanks Harry :cry:

Bought a new DVD player on the weekend, which just happens to play DVD-A and SACD (a Pioneer DV-676a, actually). It's only a AUD$200 machine, so I don't expect the sound quality for DVD-A and SACD to be wonderful.
I've always been a bit suspect about instruments... -

I picked up two new jazz titles which are hybrid SACD's; they have both SACD and CD layers, so they play on conventional CD players, also.

Last week I picked up Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" on hybrid SACD. I finally got around to playing it at home, on my SACD player, a Sony DVP-S9000ES, and discovered that it will only play the CD layer. I tried both discs, and both are doing the same thing... the player recognizes...
