For 3 channel stereo listening as in SACD (3 channel) Are there left, center and right channel stereo pre amps in the market???

Not that I know of. Get a 6 channel and use half. :T

Seriously, I have a BelCanto Pre6 that is configurable in that all of its 14 pairs of single-ended inputs can be grouped ad lib. You can make a 3 channel input out of any two stereo pairs and still have a 6 channel and several stereo inputs left (plus the balanced one). Isn't SACD 5 channel? If you only use the front channels will the rear 2 be diverted to the front 3, I don't think so because SACD is direct(bypass) from SACD player thru amp? -Russ

Some is. Anything from 2.0 to 6.0, depending on label and release.

Depends on the player. Some will let you redirect the rear 2 into the front 3.
