Can't really advise on the M&K. Have no experience with them and not readily available in my market.Originally posted by crack09i'm a looking for a 5.1 speaker set, which brand it's better, KEF or M&K?? KEF on the otherhand are. Before I went to B&W, I was a big KEF fan and had the KEF Reference 205 in my two channel setup until last year. I also had the KEF Q7 surround package in my HT setup untill in moved to the B&W 703 'package' I was always impressed by the UniQ driver. It's crisp, clear and warm. However, the Q1 and the Q3 and the earlier Q series, I found lacking a little in bass, so one would have to move up the range to eliminate that problem (have not heard the new iQ1 or iQ3). For the price, the new IQ5 is a really nice speaker, particularly for music. Looks good too. You may not get a full 5.1 package if you go for the iQ5s but you could build from there.
Hope this helps.Vincent.

by stijn_eHi everyone,
Many years ago I switched a Yamaha receiver into a Rotel RSP-1069 / Rotel RMB-1075 set up which turned out to be an amazing upgrade - clear difference.
Meanwhile, I have upgraded speakers to KEF Reference series (205/2 fronts, 204c center, 201/2 rears)....-

by Flipx99I am very new to HT. I already have a Pioneer Elite ex-500 series DVD player and receiver, and a Samsung Slimfit 30" TV.
My room is 20 * 26, but the listening area is closer to 12 * 12. (It a finished upstairs, has barn roof-like angles). I am considering purchasing a speaker package...-

by jbreezy5This is a review/comparison of the KEF XQ5's with Dynaudio Audience 82's:
I purchased a pair of KEF XQ5's used yesterday for $1,000 from Theatrical Concepts Inc. on Craig's List. They seem to be fully broken in; they lack the typical signs to indicate otherwise. Initially I was not sure...-

by steve998Hello all
Just wanted to say that IMHO the 600 series 3 standmount speakers are the best value speakers out there. They may not be the most fashionable speakers out there (I think the drivers look great though) but sound per pound, can they be beaten?
I first bought a pair...-
