    CEC CD Transport

I have done a search on this forum and others and cannot find much information on the CEC TL51X CD transport.

The interesting thing is that there are no specs published either on the web or in the manual.

This unit appears to be built like a brick outhouse, although I am curious as to why there are not published specifications.

I have had this unit running for a couple of days now and it is settling in very nicely, it has more detail in the upper and lower frequencies than the Rotel RCD-1072 that it replaced, although I am amazed there appears to be very little information about these units.

BTW the sales guy in the audio shop put me onto this unit, and explained it was as good if not better than the Teac Esoteric P-700, which is why I was in the shop, was to buy a second hand Esoteric P-500 they had for sale and ended up walking out with this unit.

Does anyone here have any experience with these transports?

So far I am more than happy with its performance.

    Popping Noise
    by Kangaroo
    Hi,

I bought a MF A324 DAC recently. I connect the A324 to CEC TL5100 transport. I hear poppping noise when playing CD. I sent my system to my dealer 3 times and they could not find the cause. The popping noise comes on at random, there is no pattern in which I could detect.

Sit back and relax, this is just another tale of weirdness with a little wonderfulness mixed in for goodmeasure (the best we can often hope for in life, no? )

Sometime while I was at the movie and out to dinner, the folks from the post office dropped off a package I've been waiting...

Retro Digital comes to town: The Avatar CD Transport from Denafrips

Do you ever see something on the web and right away, your first reaction is "I gotta have one, muy pronto!"

For whatever reasons, the new Denafrips Avatar CD transport struck that chord for me.

As an aside, how many of you knew that in 2019 vinyl outsold...

    Recommended CD transport

I am looking for a replacement of my current CD transport to be used with my Assemblage Signature DAC 3.0.
Not that the current one is not good enough, but simply due to the fact that it is a 110V version and having a big step down unit that hum all the time - well, lets just say I am getting...

    CD Transport: Need advice
    by DrJRapp
I'm currently investigating possibilities for a CD transport in the moderate (=or< $1000) price range. I need some advice please.

I say transport as I intend to use a digital connection to my pre/pro so the analog capabilities of the unit are not significant.
