    The end of ARTA

    From the website:

    March, 5, 2024; Important notice:

The lifetime of ARTA development has come to an end.

After more than twenty years of ARTA software development I decided to stop development and take care of myself.

I have fullfilled my promise that ARTA users will get all versions 1.x.x. freely.

    Note:

    1) ARTA selling will be stopped on March, 30, 2024.

    2) The firm ARTALABS be closed in April or May 2024.

    3) The ARTALABS web site will be active until February, 2025. The last version and support files will be available for download.

    4) I hope that you will be able to use ARTA software on Windows for many years (while Windows support 32-bit programs).

    Best regards,

    Ivo Mateljan

There are a lot of one man shows, or primarily one man shows, that I've been seeing coming to an end over the last 3-5 years. I don't use ARTA, so it won't affect me, but I sympathize with the sense of loss many in the DIY community will have.

Thanks for posting this info here, Reet.

I use a combination of ARTA and REW for various aspects of DIY measurements, as each as their strengths in different areas. ARTA primarily for gathering loudspeaker measurements for design. At least, even though the software isn't being developed further, it is available and will remain perfectly functional for years to come as-is.

Thank you Ivo for doing this as long as you have!!! I have been a happy user. I see that I have the first installer on my disk archived from 2005, so it sure has been a very long run.

I have used ARTA and STEPS in many ad-hoc ways and often shown some partners how it can better AP or B&K level meters or some other way more expensive tool for acoustic tests, especially back in the early days.

Best regards and best of luck with life!

                Great Free Audio Measurement Software
                by oneoldude
I was referred to this software yesterday. I have not yet fully tested the software but it looks really nice and the help files and manuals are really nice as well. :T

This is what it says about its self:

"The ARTA software consists of following programs:

How to Measure THd+N Using Arta Software
                by audiokid
                Hello World

I was just wondering how to measure THD+N using the software called ARTA?
I have to see if these cable that some guy made improve THD+N but when i test for THD+N I get ridiculous results like 89% THD+N. What is the setup can you give me screen shots?

ARTA, how are you using it?
                by froste
I've got ARTA up and running, have been able to get measurement with FR1, IMP, FR2 and STEPS, and make FRD files. However I would like to know how others are setting ARTA up and taking measurements.

Do you use FR1, FR2, Steps, IMP, settings for each, how do you scale your frd files,...

                Current Software for CP800
                by Tylercoupe
I just received my CP800...it was an April build and has a software version named "Development Verion 0A65". Both the tone control and EQ setup sections say "under construction". My dealer is coming over to update this week but was curious what software others had.
