    Classix 2.5 Done!

    Hey Everyone,

Don't post much at all but do hang around reading all of the great information here and thought I would post the finished product of Paul's Classix 2.5. It was a few months of sneaking away to the garage for an hour or 2 but managed to pull it off with only 1 major mishap. Anyways, here's the finished product (and a few of the build. Please excuse the mess of a garage...) -

And the mishap while flush trimming the baffles. Live and learn...trim slowly....

The box is finished in wood glue/water mixture, bondo, primer and then a few coats of epoxy appliance paint.

The baffles are curly maple with walnut on either side and then finished in 4 coats of Waterlox Original.

I couldn't be happier with both how the look and more importantly how they sound. They easily fill my main floor with only being run from a little Lepy 2020!

    Thanks!

Finished speakers look great ..... painful lesson on the baffle trimming, looks like you were trying to remove too much material in one shot?
Hold on to your butts - It's about to get Musical!

You got it... That along with the grain going in the direction it is. Took very light passes on the new one.

They look very nice. Are the cross braces cut from one piece? Crossover looks nice and tidy!

Thanks! Yep. Just the size of the top and bottom withe the 4 corners cut out and rounded over quickly on the table.
