Throat looks similar and the flushness is worse than the pics I remember, but that's not really saying much.

Right now I don't listen in my living room as much as I'd like because the power supply hum (toroids) are too loud.

Shouldn't be hard to fix by changing out the toroids. Antek supposedly makes good stuff---have a friend using their trafos in tube amp supplies---though I haven't tried it out personally yet.

Full disclosure: I have eight brand new, never used Antek AN-1220s sitting in my living room, six or seven of which I'll likely never use due to changes in project direction. Probably pick up a couple AN-0215s instead.

They're commercial amps, and not necessarily what I really want to have there, but they're what I have that can handle the impedance. Outlaw monoblocks.

I have plans to replace them, but for all things expensive there is a time (and a budget).

I have some hefty sized Avel trafo's in the basement, unused...

Hmm, a single BOM around USD 115 should comfortably pay for a decent trafo even in fairly small volumes. Are the rectifier diodes bypassed with snubber caps?

On to other things... Neo10's have arrived. They're kinda cute.
