Project Overkill has been shipped to it's new home.

    Well good gentleman.

They're gone as of about a week ago and should be arriving to their new home soon.

It's amazing how much worse my front stage is now that I am listening to music and movies via my Polk Audios which used to be my rear speakers.
I have earned a whole new respect for how good these speakers were now that their gone. The clarity and effortless of the 3-ways was unbelievable.

    Enjoy Trevor.
They will be sorely missed.

The old adage of "you don't know what you had until it's gone" certainly applies here. In spades!!!

Hey Mike I was just thinking of calling you to let you know that the crate made it here in excellent shape. That was one hell of a crate you sent too. :T

I never got home early enough for them to drop them off to me yesterday, so I said that I would come and pick them up myself. Worked for me.

This is the crate in the back of the truck.

That is awesome! I read so many horror stories from people shipping speakers, it is good to read one where it worked out well.

You'll have to post some listening impressions once you get them setup just right.

        Holy crap man.
        That looks awesome.
I am so happy that you got them in one piece.
X-overs should arrive any day now.
Good to hear that you got the rs270's out.
I was thinking you were going to have a hell of a time.

How do you like the feel of them.
I think they are pretty solid.
I hope you gave your friend a couple beers.
How was getting them into your place.

Yeah Mike did one hell of a job on it, very happy.

Shes bomb proof man! Overkill solid!!! :P

We had no problem getting them off the truck in the house and downstairs. They had to run so they only had a beer before they had to leave. Oh well theres always a next time.

Those Emotiva boxes have been sitting there for awhile now. Dont like to throw them out incase I ever need them. Got a MMC/IPS last christmas as a gift from myself.

Now that I have these downstairs in the room I really want a bigger place. heh The rooms only 12' wide. Oh well Ill have to live with it I guess. Soon as my Fi IB18's get here Ill start getting all the parts to build a third one for my center channel, then Ill be really running out of room behind my screen wall. I got 4' x 12' for a area behind there so Im hoping that they have enough room to breathe.

You picked a good spot for the x-over locations. Behind the Rs270's on the braces is where I used to have them.

You have the link to my photo-bucket account.
There is a whole lot of information there.

I feel a whole lot better now that you got them Trevor.
I apologize again for the wait.

              Mike

P.S. I have nothing at all but good things to say about dealing with Trevor. He paid me upfront with basically no questions asked and was real patient while I jumped through some hoops to finally get the speakers packed to my liking.

Like Ryan says. Too many horror stories, I am glad this isn't one of them.

I thought that everything would be down there. I just looked at the back of the cabinate where the wires went into the cabs and figured that everything would be right there, and it was. Ill look around at your photos and see where you had them and maybe even put them in the same holes you had them in.

Well after talking with you a few times on the phone and seeing the community here that you where involved in. I was getting a good vibe. Thanks alot for everything you did. You went above and beyond in my books. :T

Now I just need that other box to show up tomorrow so I can piss around this weekend and get her up and running.

                cheers

Is this the correct wiring diagram for these 3ways?

This diagram says that the tweeter would of been out of phase if wired normally, correct?

                  thx
