Assumed its the 18w rev, imo good value for a highly rated scan driver.

If only criteria is quality, what would be your choice ?

I'm not trying to troll but i want to know if price/performance is better than Scan Speak (which is not that hard) or the quality is better in Satori than Scan Speak (which would be a task).
It was 18W4531G01. Manufacture quality, appearance are great but MW16P4 is on a par without any doubt. The main problem 18W4531G01 is more a woofer in my opinion. Great bass for its size but best result will be in 3 way. In 2way MW16P is better. More balanced and clear transparent midrange. And it's cheaper in addition.

        Dayton Audio ES180Ti-8

Quite nasty ridge at waterfall diagram that coincides with FR peak at 1.3KHz. I'm not liking what i see, at least for a 2-way loudspeaker.

Ugh that 1.3kHz resonance sure mucks the whole thing up really doesn't it...

A notch filter will certainly be needed and those THD plots are quite useless. If we had a plot of all orders we could see how bad the resonance really is but as it stands, two way? I'll take an SB17NAC.

Regarding distortion - ideally it would be measured with STEPS. I do however find this distortion measurements somewhat useful - to see general trend of distortion rise at higher levels. Also, if i see that midwoofer has 4% THD at 90dB between 1-2KHz i couldn't care less what order of HD contributes the most to the THD.

But the thing i really like about this guy measurements is that he has pretty consistent results regarding waterfall/csd.
