Wow, that's some food for thought. Tambour door material would work great for a sonotube wrap. Not sure about copying the vc vent 'tho. Perhaps a peltier plate would be easier to implement for cooling although not as much 'cool' factor as using a fluorescent cooling liquid like with pc cases.

That said, he talks about the material being extruded, 1/2" thick. So my guess is that it's a structural plastic possibly a foam.
