I'll be throwing up pics and measurements from my first speaker project soon so I need a good host for a simple website. I just need something that i can throw up some pics on, and maybe some commentary too. The first thing I thought of was myspace (shudder). i started an account and threw some pics up. When I went to look at it as a visitor I found out you must be a member to view the pics. I'm not going to put anyone here through that hassle just to look at my pics. So what's out there that will host this sort of thing? That's free ?

Some people use Flick-r for photo hosting. I think that's free- but I'm not sure if you could use it as a generic photo host to post images on forums.
I have a cheap account with 1and1 for a website, and I've been quite happy with them. It's not free, but I feel that I get my money's worth. Of course, I edit my own HTML and upload with an FTP client- I don't know if you need a less advanced interface than that. I think Godaddy might be even cheaper.-Joe Carrow- Bottom

Thanks guys. I definately have no desire to pay for this, or do any website design. Just something simple. Does imageshack or webshots have teh ability to have comments or captions? I've used imagedump, and it's just that, a place to put images.- Bottom

I've used photo-bucket.
Seems easy enough and never had any problems.
I'd say 95% of the pics in my thread are on photo-bucket.
Photo-bucket will also downsize your pics automatically if you choose to do so.
