    Satellite on a HTPC?

    I have all the latest fastest parts on the way and was wondering if there is a way to put a card in my HTPC and get a satellite signal. I know nothing about this so was just wondering. :?: :?

      Rick yes its possible but I'm not sure we'd be allowed to talk about it here since the one's I know off are...well lets call them "grey" market I'll email you some info....

          Andrew, It seems like some of the research on these PCI Sat card show that it is legal and provides hundreds of channels. I'll try and dig into this and see whats up. I can imagine with the power of todays PC's and software that these cards could be made to do anything.

              Please keep us informed. I am very interested if this is possible and if so do you have to add any hardware to the existing Satalite?

                  I have come up with this info(Thanks Andrew) so far and programming availabe for the HTPC.

                  PCI Sat Card

                  Dish Picture

                  Free Channels

                  I'm very interested in this!! Trev, 1 Dish on the roof to pick up all the satellites.
