Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) introduced its fastest desktop processor to date on Tuesday, the Athlon XP 3200+.

The new chip is AMD's first with a 400MHz front-side bus.

Dear Lord 8O Almost double the horsepower of what I have now. It boggles the mind. I do see the practical application of this. MPEG4 conversion still requires a heck of a lot of horsepower. Games would be the other obvious need for this.

That and faster is ALWAYS better :twisted:

POOP!! I am running at the 333MHZ bus,,Not even sure if I can bump it to 400MHZ on my obsolete MB.
Well my PC 2700 ram would be dust anyways..Crap!!
