    Multi Dimensional Monitors (3D)

This seems like a very cool technology. You have a top layer work surface that is semi transperent so you can see another layer beneath it, which is another desk top much like a dual monitor yet in a single frame. You could be working on a spread sheet on the top layer a word document would be displayed in the lower layer, or a DVD may be playing in the lower layer. Apperently it can be used to render 3D depth to game imaging as well. It does it by actually stacking 2 LCD screens on top of each other. I would certainly like to see one in action.

    Cabinet rebuild progress ...
    by TurboFC3S
I just want to show what can be done for those of us with nowhere to work on building cabinets from scratch. I've been doing this on my kitchen floor and the back porch.

These cabs started life as Wharfedale Emerald 87's. It's a 2.5 way, the cab was decently well constructed with...

    SACD Sound Quality Thru Multi-Input
    by frank1203
    Hello,

I just recently hooked up my Sony DVD/SACD through my RSX-1056 Multi-Input so I could play SACDs. My system consists of the 1056; 1095 Amp, and Paradogm Reference Speakers, so I have some pretty good stuff.

I just purchased a Single Layer Multi-Channel SACD (Celine...

    MPEG-2 Multi Channel Audio
    by Arnold van Oostrum
One of my findings was that the RSX-1065 (this is also true for the RSX-1055/RSP-1066) does not decode MPEG-2 multi channel audio. In the early days of DVD this MPEG-2 was supposed to be the standard for Europe. But lucky for us, the standard became Dolby Digital. Unfortunately some DVD's in region...

2 channel vs Multi Channel SACD
    by GSamF
I have a 2 channel SACD player (Sony DVP-S9000es) which I truly enjoy.

I have tried to do my homework on whether all Multi channel SACD's are recorded also with a two channel SACD mix (not redboook). From my searching I have seen a couple places infer that they do, but no place that...

Constrained layer cabinet walls (bathroom tile as constraining layer)
    by xandresen
I am posting this to document my DIY constrained layer technique for cabinet walls. New cabinet construction is shown here but you could add it to an existing cabinet if the front panel is removable.

I wanted to try constrained layer construction because the 1.7 cubic foot, 3/4" wall...
