    Cool HTPC Cases

Post them all here, for HTPC. I know we had a thread or two separate, but let's get them all in one location. Anything and everything HTPC.

    Thanks,
    Lex

The Digital Connection Callisto case; normally not availble separately; on a special sale, it is now. Too bad I'm getting a water pump, Ditributor rotor and cap, and various other maintenance goodies for my Z28 instead this week.

Jon, where's your sense of priortities man? A Z28? I wouldn't have thunk it.

As to the girlfriend, sounds like time for a new one, hahaha.

Nice looking PC Jon. What's all the controls on the disk drive bay on the front?

          Sweet case Jon!

Lex, thats a Sound Blaster Live Drive. It allows connecting mics. recording devices, MIDI to your PC with out fishing around back.

            AAhh, live drive!

nice effort Bing. I was thinking there was one more horizontal unit that was nice, but hmmm, what was it? I lost my bookmarks at least temporarily.

Tell me now, could I put a great big drive in there and record from my television or TiVo unit? Would be great to be able to dump shows down to it. Perhaps a better topic for another post though... don't want to get to side tracked here.

As it turns out, my daughter's CD megachanger is on the fritz. Since it's likely not worth a repair, I will probably give her my 101 disc unit, which always sounded to inferior for me,honestly. So, that opens up a spot for a horizontal PC.

So far Jon I think is winning this competition with the Z28, oops, I mean the Castillo. I really like that machined aluminum front panel.

What color should someone get the drive in that thing Jon, black or standard? Black I would guess.

What is that one Mr. Bing? No brand, or site, how am I gonna buy if I like. That Castillo still looks yumie though.

Well, I like that Cool Master 600 case pretty well too, but I think the Castillo would actually go better with most HTs.

Personally, I think the black would be the way to go- maintains the black and silver motif, which is fairly attractive. But you could "retrofit" the color.

This is the closest to the "Ayre look" I've seen in an HTPC case. More like a true component- got that "audio jewelry" look, doesn't it?

Bing's last selection and Paul's selction looked good. Bing's looking more like an amp, and Paul's looking like a big a$$ pre-pro, and Jon's, well looked like artistic audio, so I went with one of these and it should be here Wednesday or Thursday!

About the DIGN case, I don't know all that much. Those were links a friend of mine sent me. I found a site but it was in an Eastern European script.

It's a nice case Paul, but my oriental languages just aren't working.

It's a moot point for me anyway, as the Callisto is in the house man! She's here, and beautiful!!! Pictures coming soon.

It's not to much to look at inside the case, but oh boy that outside aluminum bezel is striking.

Only think I could have done without exterior wise is that RKR on the front. Looks sort of like I bought it second hand, because it's someone else's initials on it, lol.
