Asus A7A133 Duron only?

Will this board use like a 1.4 Thunderbird as well as a Duron, or is this only for Duron, must look at other boards for Thunderbird CPUs?

Well Lex, I thought everyone knew:

AMD® Athlon XP/ Athlon /Duron processors of 500MHz up to 1.4GHz+

I can get this board, 128 meg of ram, and a 950 mghz Duron processor for 199. Seems like a steal, doesn't it?

I can only assume you're building a second system. It's not like you to use out dated tech.

That price ($199) for the memory, mobo, and CPU is a bit high too. A quick check at Pricewatch reveals the Duron 950 going for $39, 128MB PC133 RAM for $20, and the A7A133 for as low as $76.

That's a grand total of $135.

Well, the board would have been for my Abit system, that honestly, not sure what I am going to do with it yet, but it dang sure isn't worth a crap as is. I will sell the Abit board on Ebay, stating that I don't recommend it for Windows 2000. Strictly a 98/95 board, maybe XP, but not W2K. My install was clean, so I think this board is not optimized for W2K. I may investigate sending it back to the manufacturer, but you know how that goes, might be tough.
