    Cables for a DIY Computer

    Hi!,

I am coming very close to putting my new system in progress in place.
The next concern I would have is the wiring and cabling.
Would there be anything I would need to pick up that me have been overlooked.

Hopefully Lex will come up with a DIY Computer SilverCat cable package someday..That would be just too Cool!!...

    Thanks,

Most components (motherboards and drives) come with the necessary cables. You may want to replace your standard ribbon type IDE cables with rounded cables (to increase airflow and to look cool).

I purchase lots of cables from these guys:

Okay I know this is a taboo topic but its an interesting topic. I used to sit in the camp that was more geeker then tweaker in that I didn't believe that there were that great a difference between various cables. Maybe it was the lower quality of gear I had or just the cables I'd tried but I didn't...

        Zone 2 install
        by Andrew Pratt
I finally have my Zone 2 system installed and working great. If you remember back I was trying to get a Terk wireless IR repeater working with my Rotel 1098 pre pro but it wouldn't work so I sold that and purchased a hard wired system as detailed in this thread here. I also used to have a pair of Paradigm...

        Here goes my first post!

My house was just built and I didn't have the ability to change the lighting system upon build, yet I would like to add a scene controlling dimming system to my home theater/great room that also features a remote. I'm thinking about it now and I really would...

Notice how my wires have disappeared.
I built a 5 foot wall and painted it black for the purpose of hiding all of the exposed cables ETC..The wall fits nicely between the Audio Rack and the Entertainment unit.It also acts as a support to reinforce the Audio rack.
        I placed my new DVD...
