    Very nice, Bing!

So, did you overclock that Intel Microscope??

My system was built to play games and feed MP3's to my HT (90 feet away). I'll try to follow your format (components in the same order)

    -Abit KG7-RAID
-AMD 1.4 Ghz (AYHJA) @ various speeds
    -Thermosonic Thermoengine w/Delta 7k fan
-Elsa Gladiac 920 GeForce 3 (stock speeds)
    -512MB Crucial PC2100
    -40GB IBM 75GXP
    -30GB IBM 60GXP
    -TDK VeloCD CD-R/RW 16x10x40
    -Pioneer Slot loading DVD
-Hercules GameTheater XP soundcard & breakout box
    -3Com Nic
    -SpeedStream ?? DSL modem
    -DLink DI-704 Router
-Antec SX830 Case w/300 Watt Antec Power supply
    -Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 Speakers
    -HP 970CSE Printer
    -HP ScanJet 5300C Scanner
    -Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer
    -Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro
-A large assortment of failed game controllers (nothing beats keyboard/mouse combo)
    -ViewSonic PF790 19" Monitor (I LOVE IT!!!)
    -Palm Vx
    -Canon S10? Digital Camera

    -Windows 2000 Pro

MP3 server duties are quite simple. I wired the house for ethernet and digital audio this past spring. So I've got ethernet cable and digital coax running between the computer room and the HT (via the attic). I chose digital audio because it required a single cable and because there would be less chance of signal loss over the long cable run.

And what's with you Canadians and your CCF card readers?
I think it is a Canadain tradition to have one.
Bing may know more on this though.

            As for the Voodoo 5.....
I bought it really cheap and uneducated,, just could not pass up on it because of the price.
At the time I did not realize that 3DFX had gone belly up.
I had been away from updated computer technology for a couple years due to a total shift into my HomeTheater.
About three years ago my 3DFX Dual Voodoo II's in SLI was the leading product in 3d technology. Unbeleivable how things change so quickly. Nobody was even close to 3DFX at the time and now they are no longer.

Nice collection so far guys! Thanks for posting

Sili, I use the CCF reader as a quick port to extract digital pictures as it's much faster and more convienet. I also tend to use it as a solid state removable drive. I'll load up large files to transfer from my PC at home to my PC at work. I have quite a few large (192MB) CCF cards that I use for storage. Beats the hell out of a floppy and is like a memory Zipdrive

I don't think you can have a CCF reader unless you can prove dual US/Canadian citizenship.

I currently have 2 humble boxes in my rig:

Main Box (asterisks indicate components that came pre-installed):

                            Micron Millennia 3105 Tower
                            Intel Pentium III 800MHz*
128 MB RAM (SDRAM I believe)*
nVidia RAVA video card 16MB (I think)*
                            SoundBlaster PCI 128 onboard*
                            Samsung 30 GB HDD*
                            Samsung DVD-ROM drive*
                            Sony 8/4/32 CD-RW*
56K Modem (came preinstalled, probably a cheapo)*
                            3COM PCI 10/100 Ethernet
                            SIIG PCI FireWire card
                            Sony USB MemoryStick reader/writer
                            Altec Lansing speakers w/bass module
                            Microsoft Wheel Mouse
                            Microsoft Internet Keyboard*
Sony 17" Monitor (older model bought used a few years ago) - 1024x768
                            HP DeskJet 810C printer
                            Windows ME*

And Bing, I have one of those Intel USB microscopes too, I got it as a Christmas gift from a friend who thought it would be a neat thing to play with, but it's more for kids (I don't have any) so I only hooked it up once and then put it back in the box.

My other PC is a 100% home built box from '96 (I bought all parts at a computer show) - it's an old 486 which I had built as a Novell Netware server but it now runs 24/7 as a Linux based firewall/email gateway/NAT router for my AT&T Broadband Roadrunner cable modem. If you send email to my patzcatz.com addresses, the mail goes directly into this box (assuming everything works!)

                            Mini-Tower Case
                            AMD 486DX4/120
                            32 MB RAM
                            Adaptec PCI SCSI card
                            HP 2GB SCSI hard drive
                            NEC 2X SCSI CD-ROM drive
8X IDE CD-ROM drive (I installed this so I could have a CD-ROM drive in DOS to install Linux)
Trident 512K SVGA card (don't need graphics on this box)
NE2000 clone 10mbit Ethernet card (to LAN)
3COM 3C509 10mbit Ethernet card (to cable modem)

Monitor & keyboard are shared with my other box via a switcher.

                            KJP
