    64 bit question

Anybody know of a flash player that will do the job of the Adobe in a W7 64 bit IE8? Just got my computer built and that seems to be the only drawback. Otherwise I'm pretty happy with Windows 7. I keep promising myself I'm gonna go dual boot and try Linux , but I haven't had the time to really learn it.

Flash is only 32-bit. In fact most web pages you are going to encounter will use 32bit plug-ins and ActiveX controls, so you really want to stay away from the 64-bit IE and make the 32-bit version your default...for now.

32-bit browsers run fine in a 64-bit OS.

The only 64-bit Flash is for Linux and it's not entirely stable. Guess Adobe needs to hire someone smart like me to port it over for them.

I am running Google Chrome in my 64 Bit Vista OS, and like it much.

Both IE 32-bit and 64-bit are included with Windows 7. If it doesn't run on one, try the other.
I only use Google Chrome, but if there's ever anything that I have a conflict with, one of the IE's get it to work.

All programs that are not 64Bit will run in 32Bit mode :T

Turned on the 1090 and got a Pop, flash, snap sort of thing from the left side very close to the front of the chassis area. I could see the flash/spark through the venting and hear the pop snap. There was no smoke and only the slightest smell. The smell was gone instantly. It did not smell like burning...

It seems as if the News Flash! link at the top of the HTG pages is out of date. The hot news is from last September... :??

Anyone supposed to be updating it? Or maybe it should be taken down.

Not obviously an audio or video device for home theater, this video card, nonetheless, is rapidly becoming a favorite for HTPC (Home Theater Personal Computers) due to it's remarkable image quality for DVD.

If you're using a GeForce 2 or 3 head over to the nVidia site and grab their new "DetonatorXP" drivers. They work for all the major OS's (not just WinXP).

                  Before installing the new drivers I got a very respectable 6597 3D Mark (640x480 @ 32bit color).

I've enjoyed AudioEngine desktop speakers for my computers on and off for some time- but usually end up giving them away to some deserving soul who comes along and admires them and pines after them...

As a company, they've sort of fallen off my radar, though, as my favorite desktop speakers...
