XBOX 360 connections

Hello...Does anyone know if the standard XBOX (non-wireless) controller is a standard USB connection?

I have the wireless controllers so I am able to store my xbox in my AV closet which is in another room and not out in the open with the TV. However, we are getting dance revolution and guitar hero for christmas. Both of these controllers are not wireless.

Any help on this is appreciated.

Yes the wired connection is a standard USB connector.

Has anyone tried a usb extender for use with wired XBOX 360 controllers?

Should work without problems. I'm not sure how your setup works but you could have an extension made to mount somewhere in room for ease of connectivity. If it was my setup thats how I would do it :B
