M-Audio is music making equipment and has drivers that are old and works better on mac then pc. I use a revolution 7.1 on one computer and it does as good a job on playback as anysound card in its price range, I have and use the Audiophile 192 for mastering and it is very good.
But I use the 192 for recording and the 7.1 on my media centre HTPC. I have the audio out on the 192 connected through active studio monitor speakers and can not accept the term rubbish.

Yep those I can relate with and agree with. Customer service is not their strong point. But understand with M-Audio you are dealing with a musician based company and all the problems that musicians egos bring. They really don't care about audiophiles as there are more then enough musicians buying their gear.
There are ways to make M-Audio cards preform better but unless you are working with flacc or similar, it probably isn't worth the effort. I listen to PC based music all the time and I personally don't believe a pc sounds as good as cd, dvd, vinyl or even Sat radio.
But I keep trying and if I get a chance I will try the Terratec
The day is not complete if something new is not learnt.

I use the revo 7.1 and have gotten great results! I recently had to send it in for RMA and Eric of M-Audio Canada was very easy to deal with and very helpful.

Yes it is not the best card, but in its price range there is very little competition.

I've been quite happy with my MobilePre USB for audio testing with TrueRTA as well as multitrack recording with Cubase. Zero issues and much better sound than my stock soundcard.

I'm currently using M-Audio's USB-to-MIDI adapter, which is working great. Couldn't get Turtle Beach's (Voyetra) adapter to work.

I've really enjoyed the threads started by Eric ( AKA Thelonious Funk ) regarding the music that we're all currently listening to. After all, the music is what it's all about . Isn't it? 8O So Thanks Eric, I always find myself jotting down a few notes for consideration of future purchases.

This article will describe the fruits of my efforts to build a moderate sized speaker which might be moderately above average in performance for a basic two-way system. I desired a speaker like this both for my own use in secondary systems, and to fill a need for some friends, who desired fairly full range response (i.e., “it’s gotta have good bass”). Also, though I have access to a good wood shop, many potential DIY enthusiasts may not, so I hoped to use a modified...
