Good AV remote control timer ?

    Good AV remote control timer ?

    Hi,
    since our wonderful cable provider (Comcast) decided to change their interface it is impossible to program our cable box more than 3 days in advance or just swap channel and stay on the right channel for Friday Night's Sci Fi channel offerings from 6 - 11 without using up 3 slots.

    What I would like to get is a thingy that will RELIABLY change the cable box (Motorola) channel so we do not have to manually leave the channel for each recording. Does such a thing exist ?
