    Panamorph deal

Panamorph is doing an intro price of $499 (preorder) on their budget anamorphic squeeze lens. Those of you looking to add more resolution on your widescreen material should check it out.

There are some caveats depending on your PJ, and if your PJ is already 16:9, you'll need a means to stretch the image full panel for 2.35 stuff for it to work (HTPC, scaler, the new zenith DVD player).

Some have reported issues with the Z2 and this lens, specifically chromatic aberration, which can occur with short throw PJs.

It's about a $200 discount. One of the better deals I've seen on something like this (new).

Anamorphic Optoma Lens or Panamorph Lens?
    by speakerboy
Hi, I have an opportunity to buy a used and well discounted demo Optoma lens and sled. I emailed Panamorph and they mentioned that the Optoma is a bit older and the current Panamorphs have some improvements. What they are, I don't know yet. I'm still waiting to hear back.

    So the question...

The primary purpose of an acoustic lens is to modify the propagation characteristics of sound waves, enabling control over their distribution and spatial behavior. Acoustic lenses can be implemented in various forms, including physical structures, signal processing...

    lens filter on pj?
    by Jurgen
    Hi all,

I was wondering if any of you have experimented with lens filters. When I had my Panasonic PTAE 100, I was a bit disappointed by the screen door effect and the poor depth of field. Then one day while I was watching Harry potter with my brother, he put up his sunglasses. At first...

Is too much lens shift bad? Z5 or AX200
    by Anton
A projector is the next toy to be purchased and the tyre kicking has begun. The Sanyo Z5 or Pana PT-AX200E seem to be the best for my budget and expectations. LCDs are the best option for me since I have to use lens shift to shoot between two pendent lights in the centre of the room.
