I've been a fan of the Sharp, Panasonic and Yamaha projectors though if that helps....though I don't tend to stay super-current on PJ's.Jason -

If he's got $3500, he might shop for the new Mistubishi 5000 1080LCD. In fact, I have seen reference to the Sony Pearl 1080 SXRD dipping into that price range.

One of the things that bugged me the most about digital projectors was the bulb use, and cost. Of course the improvements in projector bulb life and cost are much better than with my first JVC G1000. Whose bulb cost $1200 to replace and lasted 1000 hours. 8O
