    hitachi 42in Pd1 burn in questions

    I got an hitachi pd1 that has significant burn in. from what i have red, a plasma can NOT be regassed to remove the burned in pixels.

    what is the best way to try and cover over or burn over the burn in currently on it. It looks as if it was used by a restaurant to display their menu before i got it.

    anyone familiar with this display?

    its an old model i believe 03 or so

    any help would be appreciated

      Well hopefully you didn't pay much or anything for it....?

      Generally if burn in isn't extreme, by properly calibrating and using "stretch" modes on 4:3 material to avoid burning in side bars and playing normal material on it should reverse or minimize the effects over a varrying amount of time. However, as far as I know, extreme burn in, is what it is. Sorry
