Does anyone know when sending a Dolby true sound track to a 1570 does it light up Dolby True and the same for Master Audio?

"The term "audiophile" means essentially nothing -- it's a self-anointed status that entails no credentials, qualifications or certifications. It means "hobbyist," nothing more, and anyone can lay claim to it. Ironically, I've come to recognize that "audiophiles" represent a group that will believe almost anything"- Bottom

I had a problem couple times with the pre amp with the buttons and I send it twice to my dealer
The second time Rotel decided to replace everything inside (because they didnt have a new one to replace) and put the new parts with the surround chip that exists on the the new model, as they told me.- Bottom

I always set my DVD player to bitstream, and often then have to select True HD ot DTS Master Audio on the BD disk menu.
I am looking in to buying one, I was just wondering if it said TrueHD or Master on the front panel all the Pictures I see do not say it.
I have a 3800 Denon Player so am all good for bitstreaming
Is it a good Sound Processor, I have a Onkyo Receiver Model 803 going to update to the RSP-1570 and the RMB-1575 this should be a nice upgrade.2ch Setup

My setup
Thanks for the response.
The two boxes you are talking about above the amps are Power Conditioners. They are from an Australian company called THOR. They are quite pricey, about $1600 Australian, but each one comes with a warranty of up to $1,000,000 per connected equipment, so they must be confident in their product.
I live in a lighting-strike prone part of Australia, so the surge protection is a must. The conditioners also show the incoming voltage and the correct voltage going out....quite interesting to watch the incoming voltage bounce all over the place, also shows the load on the conditioner and always creeps up when the plasma shows a brighter scene.
The system does sound fantastic to me, the speakers are called VAF, and the two speaker like boxes next to the two front mains are the subwoofers, also VAF. They work as a slave/master pair...and they are supposedly most efficient at 19HZ due to their design according to their engineering dept.
All up, really happy with what I've got until a larger and more efficient screen size becomes available....just a bit frustrated i couldnt get the new Rotel components to match the 10 series, which i personally adore.- Bottom

Hoi BWzes03,
nice setup :T
only a question: you with the rotel powerampli into the Puro power AV?
a direct connection at wall for the 2 powerampli give more transparence and bettersound!!
in Nederland je hebt a good and clean "power"!!!

Not necessarily. The PureAV and most quality AV power conditioners have "High Current" jacks on the back with minimal filtering. If the power coming into your home is unstable it is much better to run it through these units plus you get the protection from massive voltage spikes that could be caused by many different things and ruin your electronics.- Bottom

I have tested the system with and without the conditioner and I did not detect an adverse effect in stereo field or dynamics....
The main two reasons for using it is : peace of mind that when an indirect lightning strike causes a a spike on the net , I'm 'supposedly' covered by a 300,000 euro insurance from Belkin ... and the other is *ahum* looks an convenience ...
Luckily the system is wired throughout with 4.0mm2 multi-strand copper, and it is connected to an upgraded wall socket fed by 3x 4mm2 double shielded cable from the fusebox.- Bottom

Unfortunately, I cannot move the equipment away from the heater to another room position without rearranging the furniture. Haven`t had any problems with the heater ever since though.- Bottom

Well, the RSP-1098 actually becomes much hotter than the RMB-1075 h:, at least I have this impression if I put my hands on the top of them...Last edited by Wolfenstein 2k2; 18 February 2010, 23:38 Thursday.- Bottom

Christmas in September
For the last 2+ years, I've been running a Denon AVR-3808CI as a pre-amp, but always considered it an 'interim' solution. Today I took delivery of the Denon's replacement...and it's back to Rotel for me. I previously owned the RSP-1068 and loved it, so after much research and lots of looking, I came back to where I started in terms of a surround processor. While I was at it, I also opted for the RMB-1565 to complete the matched set.
I know how everyone loves pictures of gear, so I snapped a few while unboxing last evening. So far all I've done is unpack and update the RSP-1570's firmware. Over the next few days I will install and configure, and of course, do a LOT of listening...Brad- Bottom

Excellent Blindamood. Thanks for sharing. I much prefer the new Rotel series in black. The silver versions looks too much like Krell. An aesthetic that I'm no fan of.A camera, passport, good music, good food and good company is all I need.- Bottom
