Goldie Hawn's daughter ( Kate Hudson) is so cute you can't help but like her regardless of the type of film she stars in. I can't say much about the plot without ruining it for someone who hasn't seen the movie, so I'll just say that Kate plays a hot executive assistant to the owner of a modelling agency, who is an inch away from becoming an agent for the agency when something happens in her personal life that turns everything topsy-turvy.
I went into this expecting a romantic comedy of sorts, but it proved to be much more. Kate is excellent in her role, but look for a terrific performance from Joan Cusack as Kate's sister. This is a pleasant little film that you and your significant other are sure to enjoy. And look for a terrific mousy little actress who plays Kate's tiny neice. She captured my heart. And that ain't easy for a tough old bird like me.
