    Canada online DVD shopping

So fellow canucks, what are a couple of your favourite online vendors for buying DVD's? In particular I'm looking for Digital Video Essentials for my brother as his B-day is on the 21st.

I found a copy at www.deepdiscountdvd.com for $16.48 which is great but I was hoping I could find somewhere in Canada with comparable (after exchange) pricing as it will likely be less for shipping and get here faster. Plus Deep Discount's page seems to be down..

Any help is much appreciated. :T

FYI, DeepDiscountDVD's site is back up. Obviously I'm not in Canada, but DDD is my preferred online retailer.

Get our Low Price Guarantee, online or in store, on a huge selection of electronics, appliances, furniture, fitness, travel, baby products and more!

I think around $30-35 in CDN dollars is the best you'll do up here. For what it's worth, if the US store uses USPS chances are good that you'll pay next to nothing in duty...in fact I don't think you pay duty if the declared value is under $20 US or something like that.

FWIW. Not that I promote cross-border shopping (when you can, buy CANADIAN!), but hey, money talks BS....well...ya know
Sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here.

        :rf

Seriously though as gord mentions for these "exotic" titles you're likely going to be better off importing it. For most other titles I just look at the sale prices when they're first released or buy used at BlockBuster etc.

So looks like Deep Discount is the way to go eh? I was hoping to "buy Canadian" like you said Gord but 16$ US is a hell of a lot cheaper than $30-$35 CA.... I wonder why it's so much up here...?
