This is one of Vincent Price's best, and the story is pure Poe.
Roger Corman has given us alot of Horror/ Sci-fi movies, some good, some bad, many somewhere in the middle, however House of Usher has got to be at the Zenith of Corman's career. (this and Pit& the Pendulum) Truely creepy!!!
The transfer is good for a 1960 movie, there is a bit of artifacting due to age, and at times the image gets alittle out of focus, but the colors are well saturated, shadow detail is good, and the sound is clear. (mono of course)
Great movie, fair to good DVD, highly recommended!
