Might also point out that Target, Best Buy and Circuit City always have at least a few catalog titles at reduced prices every week, but just for the week and typically Sunday to Sunday, not Tuesday to Tuesday. For instance, this week the two "Kill Bills" are on sale at Circuit City for $9.99 each and "Passion of the Christ" is $14.99. (Their regular prices on DVDs tend to be higher than the prevailing prices elsewhere but their weekly specials are... well, "special".) :>)

Sometimes if you miss the good price at one store any given week, it'll be on another store's list the following week or the week thereafter... for instance a couple of weeks ago Best Buy had "Sense and Sensibility" (with EWmma Thompson and Hugh Grant) for $9.99 but I missed it (just couldn't get into one while the special was in effect) -- only to find it the next week at Circuit City for that price, so it is now in my collection.

It kills me though that they can't just reduce the price once and be done with it. Hate to see a title on Saturday at $9.99 and then return on Sunday and see it back at $14.99 or more... but that's marketing. They've gotta get us into the store frequently with the low price teasers in hopes we'll buy a plasma TV on our way out. :>)

That's why they make price match guarantees. Well worth it to keep on the lark on this stuff.

I really didn't see anything out worth getting and after hearing mediocre reviews with regards to Ladder 49, I didnt' plan on getting it but I'm weak and I had a gift card I needed to use so I figured why not.

There's always ebay if I really can't stand it.
