Empire magazine is pretty spiffy for movie buffs. We used to buy it when living in Japan and read about the movies we weren't seeing ($18 bucks a seat at the small theaters, plus $60 for a babysitter - $100 to see a movie with my wife BEFORE popcorn purchase. We saw one in 2 years). Anyone who's a movie fiend (so I guess any of you reading this) should pick up a copy sometime. Since it's British, it often has a fresh, different perspective. Unless you're British, I guess.

Wife just picked up the latest issue which has the article you reference in it. Between that and the 100MB Matrix Rleoaded trailer I downloaded, I am actually going to have to leave the house TWICE in the next month to see movies. Between that and actually completing an entire speaker cabinet out of the 11 I have had in progress for a year, it's an unusual time in my life.

Yep. Had all the stuff for a year now for:

7 MTM 2-ways, 3 10" woofers, and a dual 15" sub. So far I've built a temp enclosure for half the sub that I've been using, and some temp PVC tube enclosures for the 10" woofers. But I've nearly finished the enclosure for my center channel woofer, and am about 1/2 way thru the rear surround pair cabs. My amplifiers are getting bored of waiting, but my wife likes to tell people I have a nice rack.

I have a 5 year old kid, and when I'm home, he wants to hang out and play with me. SInce I know in the next year or two, he'll be out the door with friends and I won't be the hot ticket for fun anymore, I tend to spend the time with him.
