Dead at the age of 81. Apparently he had long bouts with cancer, nobody seemed to know much about this until now. He had been filming the new run of Dallas on TNT, in Dallas. It was a Dallas hospital he died in. Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray reportedly by his side as he was near death.
New episodes of Dallas are/were to air in January. I do not know how many episodes they filmed prior to his death. So, they will be writing JR out some way, I guess after they grasp what has happened, and move on.
a sad day for television, as we lost Captain Nelson from I dream of Jeany, and JR from Dallas, and countless other shows he was a part of over the years.
