I don't watch much tv, but Dancing With The Stars had me hooked for the past two months. Probably because it took me back to all those great old variety shows I loved so much. TV could use some of that again, and not just for a couple of months.

The only show I watch, actually record...we watch two or three episodes at a time,is the Sheild.

Anything else,is just something that catches my eye during channel surfing...

I could add the Sorpranos...but they are never on....

          Does SportsCenter count?

            In no particular order,

            - The Outer Limits
            - Battlestar Galactica (the new series)
            - Family Guy

and add "Lost" to this, I suppose.

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

Lost for sure. Far and away #1 for me.

Then Canucks games... (at least when they're playing well  )

              Then probably Medium.

                Boston Legal
                Medium
                Invasion

24 would be 4th followed by lots of other showes

I have roughly 40+ showes set to tivo but a lot of that is seasonal.
                IMO

                  If we're counting cable then...

A tie for first between HBO's stunning surrealistic period piece Carnivale

and their equally amazing raw and gritty adaptation of the western, Deadwood.

I don't watch much broadcast TV (usually when it's on, it's showing movies) and most contemporary TV programming that I do watch is usually based on the recommendations of friends who have similar taste in movies and who spend a lot more time than I do watching the prime time offerings closer to "real time". If I happen to watch something and it doesn't "connect", that's it -- no more time wasted. On the other hand, if I like it, after first checking out a few episodes, I'll "catch up" with past episodes/seasons on DVD.

                      Top three recent/current shows:

                      1) Lost
                      2) Arrested Development
                      3) Desperate Housewives

"Alias" would be right up there, as would the British "The Office".

Top American shows of all time (these I first watched when they were originally aired, or in same-season re-runs -- no movie collection back then):

                      1) Cheers
                      2) Mash
                      3) All In The Family

Others I really liked in the past that haven't aged as well but are still quite good: Mary Tyler Moore, Bob Newhart, The Bob Newhart Show, Barney Miller, Home Improvement, Grace Under Fire, The Twilight Zone.

I also like "Futurama" and, doh, "The Simpsons". :>)

                            Oh boy...

As long as they don't have to be current:

                            1. Farscape
                            2. Star TrekS9
                            3. Sopranos

Of course , this could change next time I turn on the tv! Anyhting from West Wing to the Military Channel to Futurama. History channel is good , too. Most of the time I avoid "broadcast" tv. Oops! Almost forgot-NFL and NHRA.
