The RMB1585 has RCA and XLR inputs. I have heard before that the XLR inputs in Rotel are not truly. balanced. Os it the case with the 1585?

finally geting around to the wiring end and am wondering what the deal is between balanced XLR vs RCA? What makes one better than the other and what are the real world sonic differences between the two?
cheers,

by EAminSorry if these question were asked before.
I own the 1095 and the 1090 that have balanced XLR inputs. It's strange that the 1098 doesn't have balanced connectors especially if the 1095 (an HT amp) has 'em. I noticed that the RC-1090 is the only preamp that has 'em.
