Online user reviews of Rotel's current CD player, the RCD-1520, appear to be very scant. Has anyone had the opportunity to demo this unit at a local dealer and if so what were your impressions?

Hi I can do one better, i have it at home, and I have to say it is the best sounding Rotel CD player I have heard and owned. It has replaced my old RCD 1072. The RCD 1520 has a fuller overall sound, better treble more detail but at the same time more smooth and friendly to the ears, the same can bet said about the midrange and it's got a very powerfull and dynamic bass.

the "old" cd player 1072 is a good player but is a "only" a very standart player?, not much more as one player they can dvd-cd read?
the new Rcd1520 as review is really sooo better? --> the 102 in germany have 44 point of 100, not much...

I have just bought my new cd player to replace my old RCD1072 and that is the RCD1520, and boy does it sound way better than my old one, It has better detail and overall a more complete sound, better bass response a more neutral midrange and smooth treble, I am a happy camper.

I have read various reviews from america and the UK on the above mentioned players. Many love the rcd 1072 a few dont, but some that don't like the rcd-02 better. Has anyone compared the 1072 directly to the 02?
I am also considering a moded musical hall, want to buy asap to go with my new speakers....
