    how load? rb-1080

    hey

ive been told by some ppl that (most) amps can only go up to 10oclock

so does that mean after ten oclock, the amps going to clip and send ac or dc to my speakers and wreck them? or does it mean your just boosting the distortion.and does distorion wreck speakers?

ive been to afraid to go past 10oclock

    what do you guys think?

Ten o'clock is moderate for some inputs or recordings and excessive for others. Your ears will tell you if your speakers are struggling.

      Give me your ten best
      by Ken McDaniel
What is this year's ten best? Think hard and nominate anything. Cast Away and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon seem to have spots on this list reserved for them; but we'll have to wait and see. So what's on your list? Mine will follow as soon as I've had some time to think about it.

DISCLAIMER: I make some pretty bold statements in the proceeding essay. If you think you might be offended stop here. It was not my intention to offend anyone but I have some very strong feelings about this subject as it pertains to B&W loudspeakers.

      load/ohm question from guitar guy
      by Lex
Jon/others, a guitar guy asked me a question, I guess because I seemed pretty knowledgable about loads and impedence. But I still want to make sure I am thinking right on this...

I figure since the amp is rated at a 4 or 8 ohm load,...

      Gentlemen
I need some help with an upcoming project. I'm looking into doing a speaker project similar to the "Noah's 8s" project listed on the Parts Express site.
These speakers are being built as a gift for my son and the amp he will be using is a Yamaha RX-750 which is set...
