software update for the RSP-1068

i noticed the update on rotels page but in the release notes there is no version number infact it dosent show the software i am using currently which is 1.2.5

has anyone ran the update what did it fix?

The software on the site is 1.2.2, you have a newer version. I would imagine it followed the same fixes as the 1098, something like:

V1.2.2 to V1.2.3
- Corrected an error that would allow zone 2 to be turned on in an incorrect state by
selecting an input when the main zone is in standby.
V1.2.3 to V1.2.4
- Fixed a bug that caused audio dropouts from digital sources when controlling
volume via RS232.
V1.2.4 to V1.2.5
- Improved memory backup software

I'm trying to get my rep to get the latest updates on the new site. The release notes for the 1098 actually list all the new versions, but the files are as old as the 1068's.

Yes, 1.2.5 appears to be the newest. I got a copy from Rotel tech support last year. They indicated it was supposed to be updated on the web site, but it never appeared there.

There has been a newer update for the RSP-1068, V1.2.8, which should be posted to the site shortly. In the meantime, I have attached this file to this email for you should you wish to download this update to your RSP-1068 sooner.
