    1068 "display" problem........

I just received a 1068 back from Rotel as a replacement for a 1068 I sent in for repair.

It works great, but when I turn the system off, some of the digital pixals remain partially lit in the display. I thought I read of others having this problem but could not find it in the search.

    Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions?

My RSP-1068 display has some dim pixels. The "te" in "Mute On", for example are noticibly dimmer than the rest of the display.

I tried the fix in the referenced article. It does not turn on every pixel - in fact, it does not do anything at all! The unit powers with a normal display.

Is this fix for real? Or is it some bogus thing? Could it depend on the firmware version?

It's real. Are you sure you turned it on with the remote, not the front power button?

Yes, I used the remote control to turn it on. Hold down the 2CH and MUTE buttons, then turn on the unit using the remote control...

Is the feature only available in certain firmware versions?

.................tried it, didn't work. But my problem was not "dimming pixels". My problem is that when I turn my processor off, there are some pixels that stay lit, all be it very dim. Almost like when one would play a video game on a plasma TV over and over and over and the screen "burns". I thought I was getting a new unit from Rotel, after all, I purchased a new unit. They sent me a recondtioned model :x . It looks like the previous owner left the unit turned on for days at a time and the pixels have burned a pattern in my display. I had called Rotel at 930 this morning. I was told I would be called back by a certain individual (I will not name names...............for now at least) right away. By 130 I had heard nothing, called and asked for this individual specifically, sat on hold for 15 minutes, then was given the excuse that he was in a training meeting. Hopefully it was customer service training...............I will let you all know how this plays out. Anybody have the number for Parasound................
