Can someone tell me if the rotel rb1080 is cool running or not.I mean is it an amp that could be placed inside a cabinet and be hidden behind a closed door.

It runs relatively cool, but it will generate heat over time. It generates enough heat that he will get hot after being on for a while in an enclosed space. I wouldn't recommend putting it in a cabinet with a closed wood door without some form of ventilation. The only amps I'd put in that situation would be the class D ICE Power amps.

That's what i thought thanks.I was just trying to verify.I guess i'll keep looking at these icepower amps that are nice and small but it appears there are so many to choose from and it's hard to find out which are good.Comment
